On 9 and 10 October 2019 the project partners kicked off of the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership Project “Digital Youth Participation Made Easy” (DIGY).

The meeting took place in Kutaisi, Georgia. 7 partners from 6 countries met to start the three-year project, which is funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission and runs from 2019-2022.

DIGY aims at strenghtening and fostering capacities and competences in youth work with regards to the usage of digital tools for youth participation.

In Kutaisi, the partners started working right away on different intellectual outputs. Apart from improvements in the user navigation on the platform, the outputs will deliver three open education components, which will be accessible on the European-wide youth participation platform OPIN:

  1. a vivid community for practitioners and an infrastructure for peer-to-peer learning and exchange (OPIN Community and Forum),
  2. online learning materials including videos, podcasts and text-based resources,
  3. and a Best Practice-section, which gives a quick overview of success factors for digital youth participation.

The overall objective is to empower people working with youth in municipalities, youth organisations and educational institutions to become experts on digital youth participation.

The partners are looking forward to tackling this exciting task!
