We are constantly thinking about how democratic processes can be improved. Improved, for us, above all means: more participatory, more transparent and more equal. This is a great challenge that we try to meet with innovative digital tools that are understandable and applicable for everyone.
Our projects often have very different requirements, which is why we decided to develop Adhocracy as a software library, whose building blocks we adapt to each project and combine into complex participation processes.
Since our software Adhocracy is published under a public domain license, all users benefit equally from the further developments of other projects. This results in synergy effects with regards to security, innovation and the functional range of the software, which ultimately results in lower development costs.
Through the open source approach, however, we enable above all the transparency and traceability of the software, which we consider indispensable for applications through which political processes take place. The code of all projects implemented with Adhocracy and the core library can be freely downloaded from https://github.com/liqd
